THE ACCOUNTANTS DILEMMA & CHALLENGE
We represent many accountants In their negotiations with the IRS.
Many times over accountants are leery of advancing a particular point of accounting or law because of a concern that it may negatively impact on similar positions in other client files.
Also, accountants just like any other professional, experience turbulence or changes in their lives that may disrupt their chosen method of performance or timing of events over the course of time. These issues are most effectively addressed by us, as we can provide technical support as well as advocate in favor of resolving outstanding issues and concerns with the IRS.
Further, as is noted in the section dealing with Attorney/Client privilege of confidentiality, the federal law does not acknowledge any accountant/client privilege of confidentiality. Therefore, whether in a civil action or a criminal investigation or prosecution, statements and other communications made by a taxpayer to an accountant are nor secured as confidential but will have to be disclosed.
Communications of that nature significantly expose the accountant to compromise on many levels including but not limited to, professional practicality and client relations as well as those relating to civil and criminal substantive legal issues.
Knowledge and experience are both necessary in securing and advancing your interests.
